When you pay a lot of money for something, you expect it to last. But things break, especially equipment that is high tech and used almost constantly. That is why manufacturers provide a warranty, in case something goes wrong.
But those warranties aren’t very long. Its not worth it to them to stock parts for extended periods, and they basically give you just enough to make sure it works, before you are on your own with any repair costs, including parts.
That is why it’s a good idea to purchase an extended laptop warranty. I know we were glad when Annie Lou’s laptop went on the fritz just a few months after the manufacturer warranty expired.
